Event pages
Event pages
An event page is a page about one demand event, published under your firm’s name: what happened, the dates that matter, and how to contact your firm. OrignIQ drafts it; someone at your firm approves it; it goes live at a Comitie-hosted address under your firm’s name, which your ads point to. Hosting on your own domain is planned.
01Anatomy of a page
Every page has the same parts. The facts and deadlines come from the event record and are computed, not written; everything else is copy your firm can edit.
| Part | Contents | Written by | Edit |
|---|---|---|---|
| facts | Employer, metro, number affected, notice and separation dates; the 21- and 45-day severance consideration windows and the 60-day H-1B grace period, counted from the earliest effective date | The record | Computed |
| headline, intro | “Laid off by Harbor Logistics?” and what the page is for | OrignIQ draft | Editable |
| sections | Plain-language explanations: what a WARN notice means, what the consideration windows are, what to bring to a consultation | OrignIQ draft | Editable |
| faq | The questions workers search for, answered without a merit opinion | OrignIQ draft | Editable |
| cta | How to reach your firm; the one intake form | OrignIQ draft | Editable |
| firm fields | Attorney of record, bar number, jurisdictions and consultation fee. The draft leaves them blank; the attorney of record is required before approval | Your firm | Editable |
| disclaimers | Your firm’s required advertising disclaimers, printed verbatim and required before approval; the rules engine appends a state-required label (for example “Attorney Advertising”) at publish | Your firm + rules engine | Editable |
02How it is drafted
OrignIQ drafts the page from the event and your firm’s practice areas. There are no templates to pick; the focus follows the practice, and the copy lint runs on the draft before you see it.
| Focus | Leads with | Practice area |
|---|---|---|
| Employment | Severance review and the consideration windows; what a WARN notice does and does not mean; the 30-day MSPB appeal window on a federal RIF | Employment · employee side |
| Immigration | The sixty-day H-1B grace period, transfers and changes of status, the “filed, not approved” distinction | Immigration |
| Both | Both, with the employer’s H-1B footprint in the metro informing how prominent the visa section is | Employment + immigration |
03Approval workflow
- 1DraftOrignIQ drafts the page; the copy lint lists any problem with the sentence that caused it.OrignIQ
- 2EditAnyone at your firm with dashboard access can edit the copy; the lint runs again. Editing an approved or published page returns it to draft.Your firm
- 3ApproveA signed-in user at your firm approves. Their name and the time are recorded. Refused while the lint has errors.Your firm
- 4PublishThe rules engine evaluates the page for every state in play and refuses with its reasons if a rule blocks it; otherwise the page goes live and the decision is recorded. Publishing also sits behind a deployment-wide switch that stays off until the ethics review is signed.OrignIQ
- 5UnpublishYour firm can take a page down at any time. It returns to approved and can be republished.Your firm
Today any signed-in user at your firm can approve, and the approval records who. Attorney-only approval roles are planned; until then, your firm decides who has access.
04Languages
Pages can be drafted and published in English, Spanish, Arabic and Russian. Each language is its own page with its own approval. Translations are drafted by OrignIQ and need a fluent reader at your firm before approval. More languages follow the intake form’s.
05Disclosures by state
What the rules engine does for a page, by the states in play — where the event’s filings are and where your firm is licensed, as written in the page’s jurisdictions field. A summary for reference, not legal advice; see Compliance.
| State | What the engine does | Rule |
|---|---|---|
| New York | Appends “Attorney Advertising”; requires a solicitation filing on record before publish; keeps the copy three years. | 22 NYCRR 1200 Rules 7.1(f), 7.3(c) |
| Florida | Requires a filing record for pages and ads; injury matters wait 30 days after the event. | Rules 4-7.19, 4-7.18 |
| California | Blocked until the California review is recorded. Single-firm, firm-branded pages only. | CRPC 7.1–7.3 · B&P §§6155, 6157–6159.2 |
| Maryland, Virginia, District of Columbia | Blocked until each state’s ethics review is recorded; no label added by default. | Model Rules 7.1–7.3 with local variations |
| North Carolina | Baseline rules; no label added. | Rule 7.3 |
| Everywhere | Your firm’s disclaimers are required on every page. Immigration pages may not use “notario” or eligibility language. | 8 C.F.R. §1292 · state notario laws |
Disclosures are a floor, not a guarantee. The approving attorney confirms the page meets their bar’s rules.
06Updating and taking down pages
A page stays published until your firm unpublishes it. Editing a published page returns it to draft; it must be approved and published again. Automatic retirement after the separation date is planned.
draft // drafted, or edited after approval approved // approved by a named firm user published // live; the rules engine passed it archived // reserved for retired pages
