Getting Started
01
What is IntakeIQ?
IntakeIQ is an AI-powered legal intake platform that helps law firms qualify cases faster. When a potential client fills out your intake form, our AI instantly analyzes their case and provides a score, strengths, weaknesses, and recommendations—so you can focus on the cases that matter most.
02
How long does it take to set up?
Most firms are up and running in under 10 minutes. Sign up, enable your practice areas, customize your branding, and grab your embed code. You can have intake forms on your website the same day.
03
Do I need technical skills to use IntakeIQ?
Not at all. Our embed code works with any website—just copy and paste. If you use WordPress, Squarespace, or Wix, we have step-by-step guides. For custom sites, our React component makes integration seamless.
04
Can I try IntakeIQ before committing?
Yes! We offer a free trial so you can see how IntakeIQ works with your practice. No credit card required to start.
Section 02
AI & Scoring
01
How does the AI scoring work?
Every intake is analysed independently by more than one AI model running inside AWS Bedrock, and the results are combined into a single consensus score. Which models run depends on your plan: Solo uses Claude Sonnet and Amazon Nova, Growth uses Claude Sonnet and Mistral Large, Professional uses Claude Opus and Mistral Large, and Enterprise adds Amazon Nova for a third opinion on more complex matters. When the models agree you get a high-confidence score; when they disagree sharply, or an automatic check finds a claim the intake does not support, the case is flagged for your review.
02
How accurate is the AI?
The value of consensus scoring is not a single accuracy number, it is that disagreement is visible. Two or three models analyse each case independently, and where they diverge, or where a contradiction check finds a claim the intake does not support, the case is flagged for your review rather than quietly scored. A separate, non-AI check also caps the score when the documentary evidence is thin. You always see the reasoning, the evidence cited, and any flags, so you can judge the score rather than take it on faith.
03
Can I override the AI score?
Absolutely. You can override any AI recommendation with your own assessment. All overrides are logged for your records, and we track override rates to help improve the system over time.
04
Is my client data used to train AI models?
No. Your client data is never used for AI training. All AI processing runs within AWS Bedrock under our Business Associate Agreement with AWS, which is configured for zero data retention — your data is processed and immediately discarded, never used to improve any model.
Section 03
Pricing & Billing
01
How much does IntakeIQ cost?
IntakeIQ is priced per seat on four plans. Solo is $199 per seat per month and includes 50 scored intakes per seat. Growth is $349 and includes 100 intakes per seat plus AI email triage. Professional is $699 and includes 200 intakes per seat, custom scoring rubrics and priority support. Enterprise is custom-priced with a 25-seat minimum. The pricing page always shows current figures.
02
What counts as a "seat"?
A seat is any user who needs access to the dashboard—admins, attorneys, and staff all count. Clients filling out intake forms don't count as seats.
03
Can I change plans later?
Yes. Upgrade anytime and get immediate access to new features (prorated billing). Downgrade takes effect at your next billing cycle. Cancel anytime with no penalties.
04
Do you offer discounts for annual billing?
Yes. Annual billing is charged at ten months instead of twelve, so you get two months free — about a 17% saving. Contact us for volume pricing if you have multiple offices or a large team.
Section 04
Security & Compliance
01
Is IntakeIQ secure?
Yes. We use enterprise-grade security: AES-256 encryption at rest and in transit, enterprise-grade cloud infrastructure, multi-tenant isolation between firms, role-based access controls, and complete audit logging.
02
Does IntakeIQ comply with bar association rules?
IntakeIQ is designed to comply with attorney ethics rules. We provide proper disclosures to clients about AI use, treat all data as confidential, and maintain the security standards expected for prospective client information.
03
Who can access my client data?
Only authorized users at your firm can access your data. Our support team cannot see your client information without explicit permission from you, and all access is logged.
04
Can I export or delete my data?
Your data is yours and we will return or delete it on request — email support and we will handle it. We are candid that there is not yet a self-service export or delete button in the dashboard, so today this runs through us rather than through a screen. Within the app you can archive intakes to take them out of your working views.
Section 05
Integrations
01
Does IntakeIQ work with Clio?
Yes! Our Clio integration uses OAuth 2.0 for secure connection. Once connected, new intakes automatically create contacts and matters in Clio Manage. You can also manually sync individual intakes.
02
Can clients book consultations through IntakeIQ?
Yes. After submitting an intake, clients can immediately book a consultation through our integrated scheduling. You set your availability, and clients pick a time that works—no back-and-forth emails.
03
Can I accept payments for consultations?
Yes. Connect your Stripe account to accept credit cards, Apple Pay, Google Pay, and bank transfers for paid consultations. Funds go directly to your account—we don't take a percentage.
04
Do you have an API or webhooks?
Not today. IntakeIQ connects directly to Clio, DocuSign, Gmail, Microsoft Outlook and Stripe, which covers most firms' workflows without any code. There is no public API or outbound webhook system yet. If you need to push intake events into another system, tell us what you would build — it helps us prioritise.
Section 06
Practice Areas
01
What practice areas do you support?
Eight practice areas come ready to use: Employment Law, Personal Injury, Family Law, Criminal Defense, Immigration, Estate Planning, Business Law and Real Estate. Each has its own intake questions and scoring criteria. You are not limited to those — you can also define your own practice areas with their own question sets.
02
Can I only show certain practice areas?
Yes. You control which practice areas appear on your intake forms. If you only handle personal injury and employment law, you can hide the other practice areas from your clients.
03
Can you add a practice area I need?
You do not need to wait for us. Any paid plan lets an admin create a custom practice area under Settings, name it, and build its intake form in the Form Builder. The cases it collects are scored and reported like any other. Tell us if you think a practice area deserves a built-in template and we will look at adding one.
04
Are the intake questions customizable?
Fully. The built-in questions are tuned per practice area and work well out of the box, but every plan includes the Form Builder, where an admin can add, remove, reorder and rename questions, set which are required, add conditional follow-ups, and collect signatures or file uploads. Branding, colours and your logo are configurable too.
